These are the overall goals, purpose and mission of a business that have been established by its management and communicated to its employees.
The organizational objectives of a company typically focus on its long range intentions for operating and its overall business philosophy. The business objectives should also have subdivisions that include mid-term and long-term objectives. The long term objectives act to point the organization in a direction.
Every organization should have long-term objectives and everyone in the organization should have some level of understanding of what they are. What defines mid-term is when the objectives are near enough in the future that thought is being given to how they can be realized. Short term objectives are defined as those presently being acted upon.
